Weather for the big day...

Post  Rob on Tue Apr 14, 2009 10:22 am

Forecast for the 26th from: http://www.weatherxtra.com/forecasts/14dayforecast.asp

Sun 26 Apr Day Mostly Clear / Mostly Sunny sunny 8°C 17°C 10mph SE 45% Dry 1029mb

This is not ideal me thinks... Hoped it would be cooler and maybe slightly damp...

I think we need to make sure we drink a fair bit in the week before too. Anyone looked into this?

heatwave

Post  Lee the Pea on Tue Apr 14, 2009 11:10 am

jings 17 degrees is a veritable heatwave for a Scot like me!!!!! And I wear all black, so i'll stew! sunny

I'm not sure about how much you should drink the week before, but i'm just going to try and drink a lot of water over the next couple of weeks, to try and ensure i'm pretty well hyrated before the start. I'm also going to take a running belt with a drink of electolyte with me on the day. I wasn't planning to drink at every stop, unless it really is hot, but I wanted an electolyte and not just the luco sport you get on the day. I'm going to drop off another electro drink at the Runners World mile 17 station, in case I need it. Better to have too much and not need it!
