Your FLM journey caught on film

Post  JSIMMONDS on Thu Apr 16, 2009 8:56 am

Hi all

I have a friend who is coming up to cheer me on, and he is filming the whole thing. He has his own theatre company and does wedding and party films for a living, so is very professional.

If there is enough demand then he could get a couple of people from his team to come up and try to film all the runners pre and post race as well as during the race, and then sell the DVD to anyone who wants one.

Trouble is, he’ll need at least 3 or 4 people there (who will need to be paid) and will need to cover costs etc. Also, he would want to give a portion of the takings to Samaritans. So if an official Samaritans DVD of the day was available featuring you, at £15 (£5 of which would go to Samaritans), would anyone be interested? Just trying to get numbers to see if it is worthwhile, so please be honest – I won’t take offence!

Stephen has okayed it but I need to get some idea of interest first.

Jon

Just a thought, but not everyone is using the forum here - may be worth sending an email to everyone...

I'm happy to part with £15 as long as it's a group thing.

Not sure I really want a permanent record of how awful I've looked huffing and puffing and limping my way around the course... that said, I don't inted to do it again, so yeah it'd be nice to have proof that I did it!!! I'm in Smile
